We gather data from local and state-wide organizations to strategize program funding before the next year. Every year, the community status report gives insight into Lubbock’s needs, effective programs, and statistics that determine future programs.

What is the community status report?

The community status report is a comprehensive coalition of statistics about the Lubbock community, including demographics, crime rate, school retention, and community health and mental health. By evaluating data, we can develop programs and build partnerships that best serve Lubbock.

Lubbock Area United Way stands with the Lubbock community by partnering with organizations that provide financial, educational, health, and safety resources. 

We gather information for each community status report from a variety of sources and organizations. Please refer to the sources section after each report for a full list of contributors and resources.

The community status report is released around October of each year.

Lubbock Area United Way partners with up to 22 community partners to provide a variety of educational and mental health resources while confronting violence and establishing economic mobility.
